Hanbury Countryside Show welcomed us back for our club show on 6th July. We had our own lorry park and ring once more, this year the farriers were positioned next to the ring and were a welcome addition. Our judge this year was Mr Philip Shipman, who did a really thorough job with the entries presented to him, in turn this was appreciated by the members with entries forward. He was happy to give feedback and advice.

Our ring steward was the very capable Kev Wright who, as always, did an excellent job and still managed to get a few great photos in. Les Key was our official photographer, and got some super candid shots. I was supported this year by Stuart Straight, Claire Evans, Gina Clifton and Nina Thomas as stewards. They did a super job of running around for me and made life much easier. Phil Wilson commentated for us and was amazing as always, coping very well with technical difficulties (at one point the sound engineer set up shop).

Our members did us proud, bringing their beautiful horses to show off to the public. Every horse was immaculately turned out and handlers smartly dressed.

I would like to thank everyone once more for making the show a super success and look forward to seeing you next year.
